The Part Time Online Math Tutor works with students on a one on one basis, providing personalised instruction in the field of Mathematics. The Tutor is expected to help students overcome obstacles dealing with math problems, and the frustrations that usually arise from the inability to thoroughly understand and successfully apply mathematical principles. Ideal candidates will have a excellent knowledge of the subject, access to a computer and a reliable internet connection. A Bachelor of Science in either Mathematics, or a related field, as well as 1-2 years of teaching experience are required.​

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare material for each student’s session based on their school’s syllabus for the academic year

• Teach the material at a suitable pace for the student, via Zoom, while catering to his or her primary and secondary learning styles as well as personality

• Provide monthly reports, to the Director, on each assigned student’s performance, noting areas of strengths and weaknesses 

• Respond to students’ concerns and questions during Zoom sessions or via email; the latter being within 24 hours
