We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Online Science Tutor to work with students on a one-to-one basis, providing personalised instruction in Biology, Chemistry, and General Science.

• Have a strong command of biology, chemistry and general science concepts across various levels

• Be reliable, communicative, and enthusiastic about student success

• Have access to a computer and a dependable internet connection

A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field is required, along with 1–2 years of tutoring or teaching experience. 

 

Experience supporting learners with diverse needs, including children or adults with autism, ADHD, or other learning differences, is considered a strong asset. Candidates who bring sensitivity, flexibility, and understanding in this regard are especially encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare material for each student’s session based on their school’s syllabus for the academic year

• Teach the material at a suitable pace for the student, via Zoom, while catering to his or her primary and secondary learning styles as well as personality

• Provide monthly reports, to the Founder & CEO, on each assigned student’s performance, noting areas of strengths and weaknesses 

• Respond to students’ concerns and questions during Zoom sessions or via email; the latter being within 24 hours

• Familiar with CSEC, CAPE & GCSE curricula

Typical hours are 5 to 10 per week, scheduled Monday through Thursday, usually between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
